Conde Naste Publisher Dies of Heart Attack at 56
I think I can see what the problem was:
When he stepped down as publisher in 2004, company executives said he was leaving in part due to increasing ill health combined with the stress of the job. In an interview at the time, however, Mr. Florio said the notion that he stepped down because of his health was "bulls-" and instead suggested he simply wanted a lifestyle change. "This job is 24/7 and this is no joke," he said. "If you get a vacation, you'd better bring your BlackBerry with you," he said in the interview.
I'm glad he stepped down and got a few years to relax.
Take it easy, will ya?
I'm a media buyer. Provide a good value for my clients, and I'll take care of you. Putting yourself in an early grave isn't worth it, and it doesn't affect my purchasing recommendations.
I like the publishers and ad reps I work with. I worry about you when I hear your sick. I want you all to be around a long time.
